Whether you require a formal sit down dinner or an opportunity to dance the night away with live music, we will ensure your requirements are satisfied. We can seat around 150 people and we can accommodate larger numbers by using our covered marquee space.<\/p>\n
With 5m x 4m removable staging, we can set the room to suit most occasions, from live bands to elevated wedding tables or a presentation stage and we can also provide accommodation<\/a> for up to 50 people utilising both of our beautiful historic venues.<\/p>\n Methven is a great place to get married with the stunning Southern Alps as a backdrop. We are able to cater for weddings of up to 150 guests, provide full bar and extend the weather proof area by utilising our covered adjoining outdoor area. If you are just in the early planning stages, come and see us for more ideas, as true locals we have plenty!<\/p>\n Samuel\u2019s Bar & Venue likes to think that it’s one of Canterbury’s major live venues for music and many renowned artists have played here. When leading NZ band Op Shop played in Samuel\u2019s, they even wrote a song called \u2018Methven Dreaming\u2019<\/a> so they must have enjoyed it…
